Role Description
This is a foundational BD role that sits at the intersection of research, pipeline management, and outreach. You'll work directly with our Head of Business Development across three parallel tracks — supplier acquisition, strategic partnerships, and retail/reseller development — helping build the intelligence engine and operating playbook that scales our BD function.

What you’ll do
Research & brand intelligence
- Vet brands across Amazon and other channels against Doba's supplier ICP — evaluating revenue signals, MAP enforcement, distribution stage, channel gaps, and 3PL infrastructure
- Flag ownership transitions, new product launches, and channel strategy shifts that signal outreach windows
- Produce scored, prioritized prospect lists by category (Audio/CE, Home & Tools, Beauty & Health, Outdoor/Sports, Toys/Kids)
- Research rep groups, distributors, and retail partners across the partnership and retail pipelines
Pipeline & database management
- Own the BD contact database — maintaining status hygiene, relationship type tagging, and pipeline stage tracking across all three tracks
- Expand the database with new qualified contacts identified through ongoing research
- Keep the CRM current as outreach progresses and deals move through the funnel
SOP co-development
- Shadow and document the BD process in real time as patterns emerge from live outreach and brand conversations
- Help convert what’s working into repeatable, category-specific playbooks
- Build out research criteria, qualification checklists, and outreach sequencing standards over time
Outreach support
- Draft outreach messages, sequences, and follow-ups for review — evolving toward independent outreach ownership as you demonstrate range
- Track response rates, follow-up timing, and contact engagement across campaigns
- Handle scheduling, meeting prep, and logistics for supplier and partner conversations
Pipeline reporting
- Maintain visibility into funnel stage, activity velocity, and conversion signals across all three tracks
- Surface stalled contacts, emerging opportunities, and category-level patterns for prioritization
Location & logistics
This is a hybrid role based in Lehi, UT. Utah-based candidates required.
What we’re looking for
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in sales support, brand management, retail buying, category management, or marketplace operations
- Fluency reading Amazon listings, BSR signals, MAP compliance patterns, and brand distribution cues
- Strong organizational instincts — comfortable owning a database, a pipeline, and a process simultaneously
- Excellent written communication; ability to draft compelling, professional outreach
- Builder mindset: you document what you’re doing, ask questions early, and improve the process as you go
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable with CRM tools
Nice to have
- Background in consumer electronics, audio, home goods, beauty, outdoor/sports, or toys/kids categories
- Familiarity with dropship or marketplace business models
- Experience with B2B outreach tools, prospecting sequences, or sales automation platforms
- Existing relationships with brands, rep groups, or retail buyers in relevant categories
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
