Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing work complies with local building codes and safety regulations, delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your mechanical knowledge, and contribute to building safe, efficient plumbing systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage in accordance with construction plans and schematics.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine the layout and specifications for plumbing installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete plumbing tasks efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations at every stage of the project.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and field service personnel to coordinate project timelines and requirements.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while following safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly during service calls or remodeling projects.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in residential or commercial plumbing projects.
- Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating technical proficiency.
- Experience with pipe installation, pipe threading, welding, gas piping systems, and plumbing system maintenance and repair.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus; experience with remodeling or handyman work is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety regulations; ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems; experience with maintenance or repair operations (MRO).
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving if required for project transportation or material delivery.
- Need your own tools, some heavy equipment will be provided
