Technician responsibilities include understanding the natural ecosystem of water gardens (ponds, streams, waterfalls, koi ponds, fountains etc) and providing maintenance to keep them healthy and beautiful. The daily work includes removing leaves, debris and algae, planting, cleaning biological and mechanical filters, cleaning existing water plants, and applying natural beneficial amendments to keep the ecosystem balanced.
Maintenance Technicians are thorough professionals with a practical mind and attention to detail.
Technicians will train with experienced business owner to learn the methods of care, and will follow a route list to care for different projects on a daily business. Must have a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Complete regular maintenance, and deep cleanouts of ponds and other water features
- Repair pump equipment
- Take direction and collaborate positively with teammates
- Complete assignments for timely job completion
- Keep equipment neat, clean and in good repair
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Be responsible for time cards and site sheets on a daily basis
- Prepare records of site
- Interface with clients
- Comply with additional duties as assigned
- General clean up / maintenance
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand on their feet for most of the day
- Able to perform labor - intensive work on a regular basis
