San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Federal Work Study, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. If there is an interest and/or need within the specific department, applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted by the respective department manager.
Student worker to specialize in acting as the campus mascot., will be under general supervision of the Department of Marketing & Public Relations.
- Responsible and accountable to appearance schedules arriving on time and remaining for the duration of a shift.

Possessing a creative and humorous personality while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Be able to care for and maintain the mascot costume and props.

Exhibiting strong non-verbal communication skills

Present at events to meet and greet our young fans and their families.

Be excited to meet and greet SBVC students, fans and their families.

Be able to encourage crowd participation in events.

Present for photo opportunities on the campus and around the Inland Empire and encourage crowd participation.

Be able to attend a variety of campus events and photo opportunities on campus and around the Inland Empire, arriving on time and remaining for the duration of a shift.

Represent Blue the Wolverine and fulfil all duties at internal and external events directed by and agreed with the Public Affairs Coordinator.

Be able to follow directions in order to carry out the duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Minimum Requirements:
-
Student must have in possession of a Federal Work Study award letter for the current academic year.

Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
-
Student cannot fall below half-time (6+ units) during their employment under the FWS program.

Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.

Student must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA.
-
Student must have a current TB.
