Vinson Hall (VH), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in McLean, VA, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Memory Care team. Vinson Hall is known for providing exceptional care and services to older adults across a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. This position will primarily support residents in our Memory Care setting, while also assisting in other departments within the community as needed. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and compassionate, with a strong interest in supporting individuals with dementia and other cognitive impairments. This role requires a person-centered approach focused on dignity, safety, and enhancing residents’ quality of life.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing required.

Listed on the Virginia Nurse Aide Registry required.

Current CPR certification required.

At least one-year previous experience in a nursing home, long-term care, assisted living, or CCRC preferred.

Experience working with older adults, particularly in skilled nursing or individuals with chronic conditions or dementia preferred

Experience working with residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities, including those living with dementia preferred.

Must be willing to rotate within the long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living levels of care.

Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

Aid with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.

Monitor vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes to the nursing staff.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and changes in residents’ health.

Assist with restorative and rehabilitative activities as directed.

Ensure cleanliness and organization in resident rooms and common areas.

Uphold residents' privacy, dignity, and rights according to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
