Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth functioning.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a diverse retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product visibility
- Handle cashiering duties using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling, pricing accuracy, and transaction processing.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
- Utilize strong communication skills for managerial communication with staff and customers while maintaining phone etiquette standards.
- Apply basic math skills for daily cash reconciliation, sales reporting, and inventory calculations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager within a retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and operational procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct interviews, employee onboarding, and training sessions effectively.
- Proficiency in negotiating with vendors and managing purchasing processes to optimize store profitability.
- Familiarity with retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and cash handling procedures.
- Experience in retail environments is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
