American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of experience for an acute care hospital setting, with required proficiency in OR and fluoroscopy procedures.

Acute care hospital radiology department with 4 rooms: 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoroscopy, 2 portables, and 3 C-arms
-
Department is staffed by 6–7 techs on days, 3–4 techs on evenings, and 1 tech on midnights
-
Common studies include general X-ray, OR cases (cystos, ortho, GI), and fluoroscopy cases (ortho and GI)
-
Average of approximately 110 studies performed per day
-
Equipment includes OEC C-arms, GE AMX portable units with DR-Konica, and diagnostic room equipment from Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips

EMR: Cerner (Community Works); PACS: Intellirad/Intelliconnect

Steady afternoon and midnight shifts; 4x10-hour shifts
-
Shift times include Afternoon: 2:30–11:00 PM and Midnight: 12:00–8:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required

Float coverage between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR departments

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist

Current ARRT certification and BLS required

WV X-ray License required if applicable
-
OR and fluoroscopy experience required
-
Must be proficient in general X-ray, portables, OR, and fluoroscopy
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Driver's license copy required for consideration

WV CARES registration required prior to start

Perform general X-ray studies, OR cases (cystos, ortho, GI), fluoroscopy procedures, and portable imaging
-
Will be the sole technologist on-site during overnight/midnight shifts
-
Radiologist is on-site until 5:00 PM, on call after hours, with VRAD covering remote interpretation from 2:00–6:00 AM
-
Supervised by an Imaging Director and Manager available M–F during daytime hours; lead tech present most afternoon shifts
-
Orientation consists of 5 shifts with a preceptor
-
First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Holiday rotation coverage may be required

Any color of clean, professional scrubs is acceptable; permanent staff wear Emerald Green (optional for travelers to match)

Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
-
Travelers may not work within the WVU system for more than a cumulative total of 1 year without a 2-year break
