Unlike many operations management positions, this role is not confined to an office. Our Director of Operations is expected to be actively involved in field operations, client support, and the day-to-day success of our security teams while helping expand our presence throughout the Phoenix market.

Position Summary
The Director of Operations serves as the operational leader for SK Security's Phoenix branch. This individual is responsible for overseeing all security operations, managing security officers and supervisors, ensuring exceptional client service, and supporting the continued growth of the Phoenix market.
This is a salaried position with a minimum 55-hour weekly commitment. Approximately 40 hours each week will be spent working in the field, providing leadership, supporting officers, conducting site visits, responding to operational needs, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.
The remaining time will be dedicated to management responsibilities including scheduling, hiring, training, quality assurance, client relations, and supporting business growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day security operations throughout the Phoenix market.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, train, mentor, and develop security officers.
- Supervise officer performance while maintaining accountability and high professional standards.
- Spend significant time in the field conducting inspections, assisting officers, responding to client concerns, and supporting operational needs.
- Ensure every client receives exceptional service consistent with SK Security's standards.
- Develop work schedules and maintain adequate staffing across all assigned accounts.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Department during client onboarding and account transitions.
- Build strong relationships with clients through regular communication and site visits.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and implement corrective action when necessary.
- Assist with emergency staffing, after-hours incidents, and operational challenges as they arise.
- Work with executive leadership to grow and strengthen the Phoenix branch.
- Foster a culture centered around professionalism, accountability, customer service, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Previous management or leadership experience within the private security industry is strongly preferred.
- Arizona security industry experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass all applicable background checks.
