Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Installer/Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. As an Installer/Finisher, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, working on various projects that require precision and attention to detail. Your responsibilities will include smoothing and finishing poured concrete floors, slabs, walls, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, and site work (curbs, sidewalks, loading docks, etc.) to specified quality using hand tools or power tools to include floats, trowels, and screeds.
Responsibilities
- Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, slabs, elevated slabs, and site work.
- Spread concrete to a specified depth and workable consistency.
- Levels, smooths and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete, using straight edge, float, machine trowels, and/or power screed (Riders, Laser screeds).
- Finishes using power trowel; rub and patch concrete to meet quality standards.
- Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Possess the skills necessary for the trade and be familiar with the latest concrete pouring technology.
- Knowledge of handheld and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, night shifts, and overnight stays out of town.
- 3 years of concrete finishing experience.
- Commercial construction experience preferred.
- Current Driver License a MUST
