Floor Technician – UG2
Schedule: Variable, 4 days per week, 10 Hours per Day, 40 Hours weekly. Se Habla Español
· Full-Time - Monday thru Thursday from 7:00pm -5:30am
Location - VA Tech University
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Clean floors and stairs by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
· Previous experience stripping and finishing a variety of floors including Terrazzo and VCT
· Ability to Run walk-behind scrubbers, walk-behind extractors, and swing buffers
· Ability to steam clean upholstery
· Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
· Maintains equipment and supplies in good working condition
· Assisting with other custodial related work
Qualifications:
· Previous Carpet Care and hard floor experience – 1 Required; Additional experience preferred
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
· Eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
· Problem-Solving skills.
· Ability to multi-task.
