GENERAL PURPOSE: Provide assistance in maintaining all ice and facility operations of the MAYSA Arena.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The Following ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities.

Assists with all Ice Operations which include, but not limited to ice maintenance, ice equipment operation.

Assists with all Ice Instillation, Painting, Flooding as well as Ice Removal at the end of each rinks season.

Assists with all Indoor Turf Installation and Turf Removal as well as all Turf Maintenance when in season.

Assists with all Facility Operations including cleaning, light maintenance, snow removal, mowing & trimming.

Assists with all Facility Events from Set-up, working events to Tear Down.

Works shifts in the Skate Room while collecting monies, handling skate rentals & supervising public sessions.

Perform custodial work both inside and outside the arena facility.

Ability to operate floor scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaners, snow blowers, kaivac and other equipment.

Ability to operate ice resurfacing equipment and ice edger equipment.

Assists with duties assigned by the MAYSA Arena General Manger, Facility Operations Manager & Ice Operations Manager.

Oversee and Supervise Part-Time Staff, Seasonal Staff, as well as Community Service Workers.

Ability to work varying schedules not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
High School Diploma or equivalent, and some experience relating to some of the Primary Duties listed for the position.
REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid North Dakota Driver’s License

US Ice Rink CIT & CRA Certifications or equivalent or ability to begin earning these certifications
REQUIRED SKILL IN
-
Supervising, Leading and Delegating tasks, schedules, projects and authority.

Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills are essential for this position.

Ensuring the Facility is properly maintained, and all safety standards are adhered to.

Ability to make sure ice and turf surfaces are safe and maintained at expected standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
-
Work is performed in and around ice facilities as well as outside around facility grounds.

Work involves building/ice maintenance equipment, climbing ladders, walking on arena roofs and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.

Basic refrigeration operation.
POSITION SCHEDULE
-
This is a 40-Hour per Week position. Primary days off are determined by the season we are in. This is mainly a closing supervisor shift, nights and weekends are primary hours of the position.
