Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks
- Load and unload freight, hazardous materials, or construction debris following strict safety protocols.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across designated locations.
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with logistics cargo handling, including securing loads on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods transportation standards.
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning.
- Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and safety protocols for commercial trucking.
