American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU (Critical Care) night shift position in Washington State, requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and active WA or Compact RN licensure.

Critical Care Unit (CCU) in a hospital setting

Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

13-week contract

36 hours per week

Active WA state RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 3 years of critical care experience in a hospital setting

Candidates holding a Compact license must provide verification of suicide prevention training and demographic verification via Nursys e-Notify

Proof of right to work in the United States required

Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, phlebotomy, and IV protocol management

Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment including ventilators, respirators, cardiac monitors, and oxygen pumps, interpreting readings such as CVP, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms

Monitors catheters, leads, and tubing for proper placement and functioning, initiating corrective action as needed

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Initiates and delivers patient and family education on illness management, post-treatment care, medications, and rehabilitation
