Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Concrete Mixer Driver to join our dynamic construction team. Duties/Experience
1. Must have a minimum of a Class B CDL with Air Brakes
2. Ability to pass Drug Test
3. Must have DOT Physical Exam and maintain medical card
4. Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters
5. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report maintenance or repair issues
6. Fuel, Servicing and maintenance of vehicle on a daily basis, including maintaining a clean truck appearance inside and out
7. Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner, obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions
8. May add materials (fiber, color or other additives) to concrete mix
9. Ensure quality of product delivered, slump, etc.
10. Maintain communication with Dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete as required
11. Ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner, and obtain proper signatures as required
12. Rinse out drum and chutes, and dump slurry as required by established procedures
13. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle, investigate abnormalities and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs
14. Ability to change and monitor tires on mixer and bridge master (i.e., determine pressure changes and wear)
15. Professional Manner – provide a professional relationship to the customer that is representative of yourself and the organization (assist them to the best of your ability, making it a positive experience)
16. Safety – Follow safety procedures to ensure safety of self and crew at all times. Use PPE while on required jobsite (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, high visibility vest, steel toe boots and gloves) Understand safety procedures and use them to guide trucks and equipment as needed. Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions
17. Will train all new hires on our equipment before releasing into the field.
Pay: $23.50 - $25.50 per hour
