The Aerospace Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and leading production teams within a fast-paced aerospace environment. This role focuses on driving productivity, ensuring quality and safety compliance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining efficient workflow across machining and complex assembly operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing aerospace manufacturing teams.
- Supervise daily manufacturing and production operations to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery
- Lead and support machining and complex assembly teams in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, quality, and attendance
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, DOD/MIL, and company safety standards
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, planning, and supply chain teams to support production goals
- Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct team meetings, training, and employee development activities
- Review operational metrics and reports to support production planning and decision-making
- Maintain inventory awareness and ensure materials and resources are available to support production
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and operational issues in a timely manner
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on safety, quality, and accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 5–8 years of leadership experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
- Proven experience supervising machining and complex assembly operations
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and DOD/MIL requirements
- Experience supporting production growth and high-volume manufacturing programs
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Schedule: 2nd Shift
- Typical Hours: Approximately 2:00/3:00 PM – 10:30/11:30 PM
- Team Size: Approximately 15 employees
- Compensation Range: $95,000 – $120,000 annually
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Director of Operations
