In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in maintaining all equipment and facilities associated with the Academy Mapleton Hill Community (AMH).

Responsibilities
-
Performs routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities
-
Works with a team of maintenance staff to complete projects and tasks
-
Identifies and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs
-
Follows established preventative maintenance procedures
-
Keeps accurate maintenance records and documentation
-
Communicates with supervisor and other staff regarding equipment status and malfunctions
-
Assists with the installation and set-up of new equipment
-
Ensures compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
-
Attends training sessions to stay current on new equipment and maintenance techniques
-
Monitors and controls inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
-
Maintains a clean and organized work area
-
Maintains tools and equipment in proper working condition
-
Performs routine inspections of equipment and identifies potential issues
-
Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operation of facility
-
Keeps up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve maintenance processes
Qualifications

Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards

Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints

Knowledge of manufacturing process and machinery

Possess a valid driving license

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong knowledge of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment

Ability to work flexible hours, and occasional holidays, as required

Ability to work on call and be available for emergency repairs

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Fluency in both English and Spanish, a plus

Education and Experience
-
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role
-
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a related field, a plus

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), a plus
