Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and skilled Septic Pump Truck Driver to service residential and commercial septic systems and grease traps. This involves safely operating a septic pump truck and transporting waste for disposal.
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of a commercial vehicle with appropriate endorsements.
- Locating, excavating, and pumping septic tanks.
- Performing vehicle and equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Professional customer interactions.
- Installing risers and lids.
- Troubleshooting and performing minor repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Keeping the truck clean.
- Assisting with other division duties (may be required).
Skills
- Proven experience operating a tanker truck.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and adherence to safety standards.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
Requirements:
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating septic pump trucks or similar equipment (preferred).
- Ability to perform physical labor.
- Knowledge of septic systems and waste management (preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Dependability and punctuality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
