Role Description The Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Macomb County, MI. This role involves building, maintaining, and repairing marking machines at customer locations and in the facility, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing scheduled maintenance, and documenting service activities, along with taking customer support, while building our marking heads. The Service Technician communicates with customers to understand equipment concerns, provide guidance on proper use, and deliver high-quality service and support. The role also includes collaborating with engineering and production teams on equipment improvements, training users on machine operation, and following all safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
- Experience in Field Service with the ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
- Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide professional support.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic systems; ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Comfort using hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software in an industrial environment.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate service records.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, electronics, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to stand, lift, and work around machinery safely; commitment to following safety and quality standards.
- Effective teamwork and independent work capabilities, with reliable time management and follow-through.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
