Duties
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients under supervision
- Support team ensuring dining areas remain clean and inviting for guests
- Follow all food safety management protocols and sanitation standards to uphold health regulations and ensure a safe environment
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, or bulk supplies while adhering to proper ergonomic practices
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen workspace by sweeping, mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts mainly weekends
