Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dry vans, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and conestoga trailers to transport freight efficiently.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to deliver freight promptly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Ensure proper handling of specialized freight such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials when applicable
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred.
- Proven truck driving experience with at least 2 years previous driving.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight transportation regulations.
- Familiarity with load securement techniques is essential.
- Strong physical stamina for long hours on the road; ability to lift heavy loads when necessary.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
