Role Overview
When emergencies strike, communities rely on trusted professionals to guide them through recovery. As an Emergency Recovery Coordinator (ERC), you will serve as a critical link between property owners and restoration solutions following fire, water, and other disaster-related events. You will help individuals and businesses navigate crisis situations while building strong community relationships and generating new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency events and consult with property owners on mitigation and restoration services
- Provide guidance and reassurance to clients during high-stress situations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, first responders, insurance adjusters, and community leaders
- Identify and pursue business opportunities following disaster events
- Educate clients on restoration processes and available recovery solutions
- Represent the organization at community outreach events and awareness programs
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive under pressure
- Proficiency with technology and basic reporting tools
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Genuine passion for helping people during difficult times
Preferred Experience
- Background as a firefighter, police officer, EMT, or other first responder
- Experience in emergency response, disaster recovery, restoration, or related industries
