Join our dynamic team as a Pawn Broker and Firearms Specialist, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while managing pawn transactions and firearm sales responsibly. Responsibilities
- Conduct pawn transactions accurately, including appraisals, loan agreements, and merchandise documentation
- Manage firearm sales in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, ensuring proper licensing and background checks are completed
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits of firearms and related accessories
- Maintain organized stock of firearms, jewelry, electronics, and other merchandise through effective merchandising and stocking practices
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue opportunities
- Supervise junior staff when applicable, offering guidance on sales techniques, product knowledge, and safety procedures
Skills
- Strong proficiency with POS systems for processing transactions efficiently
- Proven supervising experience within retail or pawn environments is preferred
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently to educate customers about features and benefits
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with clear communication skills for engaging customer interactions
- Skilled in retail math for accurate cash handling, balancing registers, and calculating loan amounts or sales totals
- Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is advantageous for understanding customer needs and merchandising strategies
- Knowledge of basic firearm safety protocols, licensing requirements, and legal regulations governing firearm sales
