Position Summary
ITNMontereyCounty is dedicated to providing dignified, accessible transportation that enables older adults and individuals with visual limitations to remain active and engaged in their communities. The Transportation Operations Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring these services are delivered safely, efficiently, and compassionately.
The Transportation Supervisor oversees the daily transportation operations of the organization, including rural transportation programs. This position supervises Transportation Coordinators, manages driver scheduling and workforce allocation, ensures service quality and compliance, and supports efficient transportation services for members. The Supervisor exercises independent judgment in addressing operational, scheduling, staffing, and service delivery needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Supervise, train, and evaluate Transportation Coordinators.
· Oversee daily transportation scheduling and dispatch operations.
· Manage driver schedules and staffing assignments to meet operational needs and maintain compliance with applicable labor laws.
· Monitor transportation services to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality customer service.
· Coordinate volunteer and paid driver resources to maximize service coverage.
· Resolve scheduling conflicts, service interruptions, and transportation-related issues.
· Participate in recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of transportation staff and volunteers.
· Support after-hours and on-call transportation operations as assigned.
· Maintain transportation records, fleet vehicle reports, and operational data.
· Assist management in month end review processes, and financial entries and payments.
· Represent the organization at community outreach and recruitment events.
· Promote a culture of safety and ensure timely reporting of incidents and concerns.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Associate degree or higher in business administration, transportation management, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
· Two years of experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, customer service, or related operations.
· Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and scheduling software.
· Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Working Conditions
· Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call work are required.
· Frequent use of computers, phones, and transportation management software.

This position exercises discretion and independent judgment in supervising transportation operations, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery.
Salary Range
Hiring Range- is $74,000–$78,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Pay: $74,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
