Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing delicious meals to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations at all times.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Assist in catering events as needed, ensuring all food is prepared to specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- May include other tasks.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling practices.
- Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus.
