Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex electrical construction projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project workflows.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools; monitor progress and adjust plans proactively.
- Review blueprints, schematics, system designs, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, contracts, and subcontractor negotiations.
- Oversee construction site activities ensuring safety protocols are followed; conduct regular site inspections for quality assurance.
- Utilize software tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project documentation, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and reporting.
- Ensure all electrical systems are designed and installed in accordance with industry standards; review system schematics and drawings regularly.
- Track project costs using HeavyBid or similar estimating software; control expenses without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project progress, change orders, safety incidents, and client communications.
Experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects within the heavy civil or industrial sectors.
- Strong background in electrical engineering principles, system design, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction management practices including scheduling , contracts administration, and project coordination.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards applicable to electrical installations on construction sites.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities including installation oversight and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Proficiency in project management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, AccuBid; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Prior experience working on complex projects requiring detailed construction estimating and contract negotiations is highly desirable.
