Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional skills.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive interactions among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Support children with special needs through tailored activities and early intervention strategies to foster inclusion and growth.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress regularly, utilizing tools such as standardized testing when appropriate to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and progress updates effectively.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to childcare regulations, health protocols, and safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention techniques.
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddler care and preschool experience.
- Expertise in classroom management, behavior management strategies, and lesson planning tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education practices, math instruction, and teaching physical education to young learners.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches for children with special educational needs or those requiring additional support.
