Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems following schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration units to ensure optimal operation
- Use hand tools, ohmmeters, and other mechanical tools to perform precise installations and repairs
- Diagnose issues with electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing connections, and building automation systems to identify root causes
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to extend lifespan and improve efficiency
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and system diagrams to guide installation and repair processes
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration handling
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain system issues, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, refrigeration, and building automation systems
- Familiarity with HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting including boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to operate hand tools efficiently; experience with ohmmeters or similar diagnostic tools is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to property maintenance and mechanical systems repair required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- EPA certification for refrigerants; additional certifications in HVAC/R or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
