Title: AV Design Engineer
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Coordinates with: Sales, Project Management, Architects
Purpose and Scope: The AV Design Engineer is responsible for the design aspects of the customer’s job, including development design, layout, and various audio/visual specifications. Our Engineers help our clients bring their ideas for their spaces to life and help our company run in the most efficient manner possible.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design digital spaces based on Client requirements

Client scope and sales interface and walk through resource

Determine infrastructure requirements to support the designs

Pre-Build: Set up, configure, test, and support all audio and video systems in house

Troubleshoot audio / video performance issues and maintain diagrams and documentation

Provide extraordinary technical and/or analytic support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems of moderate to complex business communication systems

Develop standards and maintain all systems, applications, and configurations

Perform other duties as required or assigned by management
Education & Skills:
- High School Diploma
-
Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or AV a Plus
-
2+ years' experience in AV Engineering

Good working knowledge of audio-visual products from major manufacturers

Proficiency control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layout

Proficiency with modern digital signal processors regarding DSP configuration.

Experience in D-Tools SI a plus

2+ years’ Visio and Cad experience
