Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans that promote mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function. You will work closely with patients to provide hands-on care, monitor their progress, and adjust treatment techniques as necessary. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be supporting individuals during their recovery journey, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact the well-being and recovery outcomes of our patients, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.

Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the physical therapist.

Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.

Educate patients and their families on exercises and home care techniques.

Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working order.
Qualifications:

Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Active Tennessee PTA license in good standing.

Valid CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Minimum 1-2 years experience as a PTA, preferably in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar setting.

Strong ability to follow established treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
