San Luis Coastal Unified School District represents the communities of Avila, Edna Valley, Los Osos, Morro Bay, and San Luis Obispo and currently has an enrollment of approximately 7,500 students. Small neighborhood schools are a hallmark of the District where students are educated from preschool through twelfth grade and a world-class adult school program offers unique, life-improving courses to thousands of community members.
San Luis Coastal is seeking a qualified and student-centered School Nurse to join our district health services team for the 2026-27 school year. This position may be filled as either full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability and district needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting student health, wellness, and access to learning by providing nursing services, health assessments, case management, and collaboration with staff, families, and community providers. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on promoting a safe and healthy school environment for all students.

School nurses are required to hold a School Nurse Services credential. However, if you hold a Bachelor's degree and a California RN license, we will assist you in obtaining a preliminary credential which gives you five years to complete a clear credential program.
