Position Overview
As a Journeyman Electrician, your primary focus will be servicing our residential customers by diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems with professionalism and care. While residential service is the core of this role, there will be opportunities to support commercial projects and traffic signal work as business needs arise.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time, communicates well with customers, and enjoys being part of a team that values integrity and craftsmanship.
What You'll Do
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment in residential homes.
- Diagnose electrical issues and provide safe, effective, and code-compliant solutions.
- Perform service calls, electrical upgrades, remodel work, and new installations.
- Support commercial and traffic signal projects as needed.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, explaining findings and recommended solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with team members while also working independently when required.
What We're Looking For
- Michigan Journeyman Electrician License.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, dependable, and customer-focused.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Physical ability to perform electrical work in a variety of environments.
