Overview
Universal College of Beauty is seeking a dedicated and passionate Barber Instructor to join our dynamic team. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinic floor environment, values teamwork, and is committed to helping students build strong technical and professional foundations in the barbering industry.
We are especially seeking an instructor with strong practical barbering skills and experience working with textured hair, while also being confident working with all hair textures and types. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, engaging, professional, and passionate about student success.
The schedule for this position is:
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
- Thursday through Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- (Must be able to stay a little overtime if needed)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong hands-on barbering and clinic floor experience
- Advanced skills in textured hair and diverse hair textures
- Experience with clipper-over-comb, fading, shaving, shear work, and modern barbering techniques
- Ability to manage and motivate students in a fast-paced learning environment
- Strong professionalism, communication, and teamwork skills
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain organization on the clinic floor activities.
- Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations in barbering techniques, including clipper-over-comb, fading, shaving, and other core barbering skills.
- Ensure all training aligns with state board standards and school curriculum requirements.
- Emphasize proper disinfection, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain positive, professional, and motivating on the clinic floor environment.
- Support and guide students to reach their educational and career goals.
- Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and special school events as needed.
Must Have
- Current Barber License.
- Strong hands-on technical skills and up-to-date knowledge of current barbering trends.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

- Passion for teaching, mentorship, and student success.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
