As a Nursing Scheduler / Central Supply Clerk, you play a vital behind-the-scenes role ensuring proper staffing coverage and the availability of essential medical supplies—both critical to resident safety and team success.

Create, manage, and maintain nursing schedules for STNAs and licensed staff
Schedule team members according to census, PPD targets, Atrium guidelines, and regulatory standards
Review schedules daily to ensure adequate coverage and address gaps
Communicate staffing concerns and trends to the Director of Nursing and leadership team
Contact staff to fill open shifts and support staffing reliability
Monitor schedules for compliance with pay rules, staffing ratios, and CMS requirements
Track staffing trends related to vacancies, resignations, and terminations
Post schedules and communicate updates clearly and timely
Order, receive, store, and distribute medical supplies and equipment
Maintain supply rooms in a clean, organized, and safe manner
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies based on established par levels
Stock nursing units with required medical and personal care supplies
Verify incoming orders against invoices and packing slips
Clean, inspect, and maintain medical equipment (IV pumps, poles, etc.)
Report equipment or supply issues promptly to nursing leadership
Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution policies
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
Support interdisciplinary teamwork and quality improvement initiatives
Attend required meetings, training, and in-services
Active STNA certification required
At least one (1) year experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
Experience with nursing scheduling, staffing, payroll, or central supply preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage detailed work
Basic computer skills, including scheduling or inventory systems
Clear communication skills and a professional, team-focused attitude
Ability to meet physical and regulatory requirements of the role
