Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Mechanic with a Class A or Class B CDL to join our team. This Hybrid Mechanic and CDL driver opportunity offers a mix of shop work and on-site driving. Get out of the shop and on to job sites! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial mechanics and be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance and repair, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Utilize tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and hydraulic systems to diagnose mechanical issues.
- Analyze schematics to understand the layout of electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Operate scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and scissor lifts.
- Class A or Class B CDL required.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
