Job Summary:
The Fleet Analyst is responsible for supporting the management, maintenance tracking, and operational performance of the company’s vehicle and equipment fleet. This position plays a critical role in monitoring maintenance activity, analyzing fleet costs, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring vehicles and equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational for field operations.
The Fleet Analyst works closely with fleet management, operations personnel, equipment vendors, and maintenance providers to review repair orders, track preventative maintenance schedules, analyze fleet performance data, and support decision-making related to vehicle lifecycle management. This role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a working understanding of fleet operations within a utility construction contractor environment supporting electric utility construction work for Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Electric Cooperatives, and Municipal Electric Systems.
Job Description:
Review and analyze vehicle and equipment repair orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper coding of maintenance activities.
Monitor preventative maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles and utility equipment to ensure timely servicing and compliance with company standards.
Track maintenance history, repair costs, and lifecycle performance of fleet assets.
Analyze fleet data to identify trends in maintenance costs, downtime, and operational performance.
Assist in evaluating vehicle and equipment specifications including light-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and utility construction equipment.
Support pricing analysis and cost comparison for equipment purchases, maintenance services, and vendor contracts.
Monitor fleet utilization metrics including equipment availability, downtime, and operational productivity.
Analyze fuel consumption data and identify trends or anomalies related to fleet efficiency.
Review telematics and GPS fleet data to evaluate vehicle utilization, idle time, and operational performance.
Support vehicle replacement planning and lifecycle management strategies based on cost analysis and utilization data.
Maintain fleet records including asset tracking, maintenance documentation, and regulatory compliance files.
Assist with Department of Transportation (DOT) and regulatory compliance documentation related to fleet operations.
Perform FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse queries and assist with compliance documentation as required.
Support day-to-day fleet department operations including coordination with maintenance providers, internal operations personnel, and equipment vendors.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and operational analysis using Microsoft Excel and other software tools.
Maintain accurate documentation and organized records to support audits, inspections, and internal reporting.
Communicate professionally with field operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding fleet-related issues.

Job Requirements:
Experience working with fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, equipment management, or mechanical service environments preferred.
Working knowledge of vehicle repair orders, preventative maintenance practices, and equipment maintenance tracking.
Familiarity with light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty fleet vehicles as well as utility construction equipment preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate data and identify operational trends.
High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Microsoft Excel (sorting, formulas, data analysis, reporting).
Experience working with fleet management systems, telematics platforms, or asset management software preferred.
Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
Demonstrated reliability and consistent work performance.
Ability to perform the Essential Duties.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work onsite at the Kennesaw, GA office during standard business hours (typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
