Job Summary
As line cook you will be in charge of all the cooking and preparation of the line. Your job is to execute tickets in a timely manner and ensure to follow health and safety guidelines. Expediting, or relaying orders to the line.
Responsibilities
. Follow Directions from Director of Culinary
· Plan and direct food preparation
· Ensure quality food is served on schedule from the kitchen
· Prepare all foods in accordance to standard recipes and as specified by the guest
· Oversee food preparation and kitchen to ensure quality production
· Have understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment
· Visually inspect, select and use only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items
· Check and control the proper storage of product and portion control, e.g., especially meat and fish items
· Inventory materials and supplies at beginning of shift comparing to previous days ending inventory to ensure no shrinkage
· Obtain necessary supplies to support forecasted levels of business
· Check all food & beverage prior to service for accuracy, completeness, appearance and presentation
· Serve food & beverage to guests following Service and Food Safety Standards
· Be knowledgeable of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
· Keep all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health department regulations
· Complete assigned end of shift duties
· Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, stoop, bend and move quickly during entire shift
· Become ServSafe certified within 30 days of employment
Requirements
· A Plus Kitchen / F&B Experience
· Experience with both banquet and casual dining
· Flexibility in working days/nights/weekends/holidays
· Ability to multi-task
· High level of professionalism
· Experienced in Customer Serivce -Teamwork
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
· Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
· Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
· Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
· Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
· Notifies Supervisor promptly of issues
· Courteous, helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
· Executes emergency procedures in accordance with club standards
· Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
· Attends department meetings and training sessions
· Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areas
· Complies with club standards, policies and rules
· Remains current with club information and changes
· Complies with club uniform and grooming standards
