Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students and shaping futures in a vibrant educational community near Salem, OR. These full-time, onsite positions span a variety of caseloads and age groups, with a start date as soon as possible and extending through June 5, 2026. You’ll play a crucial role in helping students reach their potential while working alongside dedicated support staff in a collaborative setting.
Openings include:
- Two Elementary Developmental classrooms (15 students each; ASD, behavior, and communication needs; 6 assistants)
- One Elementary Behavior classroom (Grades 3–5; 16 students; 5 assistants)
- One Middle School Resource room (serving approximately 40 students with 2 shared assistants)
- One Elementary Resource position (traveling between 2 sites, each with 1 assistant; around 35 students total)
- One Middle School Behavior classroom (15 students; 5 assistants)
Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon Special Education teaching certification or license (SPED)
- Experience or strong interest in working with diverse student populations, including ASD, behavioral, and developmental needs
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with classroom assistants, related service providers, and administrators
- Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of each student
- Communicate progress and strategies with families and team members
- Maintain records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
