Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Laser Pipe Layer to join our team. This role involves installing underground piping systems for both residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil construction and a strong understanding of grade stakes, blueprints, and laser-level equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints to install underground pipe systems (water, sewer, storm).
Work with various pipe types and sizes, ranging from 2” to 96”.
Utilize transits, pipe lasers, hand tools, and other equipment to maintain accurate grade and alignment.
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Operate light construction equipment as needed.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, crouching, and other physically demanding positions.
Manual dexterity and attention to detail for working with small tools and fittings.
Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in civil construction, trenching, excavation, or pipelaying.
Familiarity with water, sewer, or storm system installation is required.
OSHA training in trenching/excavation and confined space safety is a plus.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
