Ironworker Employees’ Benefit Corporation (I.E.B.C.) is a non–profit entity established for the sole purpose of providing trust fund administrative services for the California and Vicinity Field Ironworker Trust Funds, a multi-state union trust including California, Arizona, and Nevada.
Position Summary:
At I.E.B.C., we are looking for a Program Director to join our dynamic leadership team. The Program Director will report to the Executive Director and will oversee the following departments: administration, IT, accounting, and pension. In addition to managing key departments within the organization, the role will serve as a catalyst for collaboration by aligning financial strategies with broader business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: (The duties listed are representative of the role and not intended to be a comprehensive list of all responsibilities.)
- Responsible for maximizing departmental productivity and efficiency
- Work closely and transparently with all external partners, including third-party vendors and consultants
- Provide the Executive Director with data-driven information as needed to make sound decisions
- Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization fluctuates
- Will oversee the organization’s administration, IT, pension, and accounting departments
- Will oversee the budgeting process, ensuring that all departments operate within financial limits while meeting business objectives alongside the controller
- Responsible for the regulatory, operational, and technological risk, and building mitigation framework accordingly
- Will create framework and dashboards to track both financial and operational outcomes, including implementing policies to safeguard company assets and/or mitigate risk
Job Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting required, master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years management/supervisory experience
- Experience working for a non-profit organization under ERISA guidelines is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience required, with a good understanding of GAAP
- Strong computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Applications, and experience using software programs related to accounting and IT
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to motivate teams, as well as collaborate with other departments, is crucial for success in this role
- Union/ Trust fund experience is a plus
- The ideal candidate will have responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting, and auditing
- Must be able to work onsite at the Pasadena, CA office, no hybrid or remote option (no exceptions)
We offer a highly competitive total rewards package, starting with an annual base salary of $140,000 to $160,000 scaled to your experience level.
