Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and friendly Seasonal Baristas to join our vibrant coffee shop team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about the food and beverage industry who thrive in a very fast-paced environment. As a Seasonal Barista, you will play a key role in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere while ensuring efficient operations during the busy season (June-October). All positions are paid, offering valuable experience in the food service and retail sectors.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Operate POS system for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper food handling and food preparation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas including counters, equipment, and seating areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately using our POS system while managing retail math calculations
- Assist with food service tasks such as serving baked goods or snacks as needed during peak hours
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge preferred but not required; training provided
- Familiarity with Square POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends and be punctual.
