American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MS/Tele Nights position requiring a valid OK or Compact RN license and prior cardiac telemetry experience.

Work on a 30-bed cardiac specialty telemetry unit (4 Heart)
-
Night shift, 4x12 hours, 18:45-7:15
-
Patient ratio of 1:5, with a team of up to 6 patients
-
Weekend work required depending on unit needs
-
Floating required within scope to like units as needed
-
No on-call requirements
-
Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis

Uses EPIC documentation system, experience preferred
-
Navy scrub color required
-
Active RN license (OK or Compact) required at time of consideration

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
-
Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy required
-
Experience with central line and peripheral line care/management required
-
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required
-
Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias required
-
Experience using rapid response/code teams required
-
Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) required
-
Familiarity with diuretics, anticoagulants, inotropes, and rate controlling medications required

Provide nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients on an overnight shift

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Travel pairs or groups are not accepted

Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered for the travel rate
-
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
RTO must be submitted and approved by the manager at time of consideration
-
No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and RTO is not permitted during the first week of orientation
-
Travelers will receive a brief orientation prior to floating to other units
