Prep Cook & Catering Associate
Job Summary
Flava Meal Prep is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Prep Cook & Catering Associate to join our growing culinary team. This position offers a combination of steady weekly meal prep shifts in our commercial kitchen along with optional paid on-call catering opportunities for weddings, corporate events, and executive catering serving VIP clientele.

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, portioning, and assembling meals according to standardized recipes.
- Assist with daily production of Flava Meal Prep meals while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation.
- Support off-site catering events, including setup, service, breakdown, and transportation of food and equipment as needed.
- Prepare catering orders for corporate clients, weddings, special events, and executive aviation customers.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory, stocking, labeling, and organization of kitchen supplies.
- Work efficiently with the culinary team while maintaining professionalism under changing schedules and deadlines.
- Help ensure every customer receives food that reflects Flava Meal Prep's high standards of quality and service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen is required.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation is required for occasional off-site catering events.

Schedule & Compensation
- Consistent weekly meal prep shifts in our Boise commercial kitchen.
- Additional paid on-call catering opportunities based on event schedule and availability.
- Flexible scheduling for catering events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus opportunities for growth within the company.
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
