Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and proper usage through engaging product demos
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products by highlighting new items, accessories, or complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain well-organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory
- Conduct regular stock checks, inventory management, and restocking to keep the sales floor inviting and fully stocked
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar customer-focused environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain product details and answer customer questions confidently
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about industry-specific regulations and product lines
