Restaurant Manager Summary:
The Restaurant Manager’s role is to set the bar to deliver a premium experience for all patrons. This is accomplished utilizing years of experience in upscale casual dining bringing a unique and personal touch to each guest. The Chef’s menu interpretation creates the foundation for how each day’s dining experience will be anticipated. Coordinating this service requires an unique depth knowledge of food, wine, and spirits providing the patrons with an understated and exceptional experience. Ability to lead the team with detailed expectations for all front of house personnel from greeting guests with the utmost care and mentoring the service team to provide unparalleled personal service. Create experiences that are both traditional and special to The Imperial Restaurant. Lead the team through your personal experiences and creating each day as special.
Restaurant Manger Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set the example and lead the day-to-day operations delivering exception experiences. The success leading the service experience can be measured by the customer service ratings and the overall satisfaction of the team.
- Oversee scheduling, hiring, and training of Front of House restaurant staff personnel. Use common sense approach when scheduling staff, training, and collaboratively hiring new employees that best fit the culture you have established.
- Instill a sense of pride with the team with regards to standards including uniform, grooming, all training including TIPS, and Serve Safe.
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
- Maintain the integrity and proper usage of the software tools available specifically restaurant POS, and Open Door reservations. (room charges, private events, etc.)
- Facilitate the development of exceptional menus, purchasing goods, and continuously make necessary improvements.
- Ensure Compliance with Health Department and PA Liquor Laws, and all other laws.
- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all their concerns.
- Maintaining restaurant supply inventories. Non food items.
- Ordering of all paper & janitorial goods as necessary for FOH operations.
- Implement established training outlines for new hires, create a culture of team support on a daily basis and develop ongoing refresher training as necessary.
- Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork including attending regular managers meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Restaurant Manager Other Duties as assigned:
Maintain the POS system, reservations systems and payroll related systems to maximize employee efficiency. Maintain Open Table reservations and deposits schedules for daily dining and special events. Maintain collaboration with the Director of Marketing ensuring The Imperial Restaurant brand operation meets and exceeds the product marketed whether a special events, dinner and drink specials and product imaging.
Restaurant Manger Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS, payroll systems, Open Table.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
- Communication and leadership skills including confidentiality, profession approach to personnel issues, oversee processes and establish consistency among the team.
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices.
- Ability to manage personnel fairly and consistently with a high degree of professionalism.
- Guest-oriented and service-minded.
Restaurant Manger Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

- Ability to walk and stand during the entire working shift.
- Require carrying, walking, sit, push, pull, and be able to lift to 25 pounds.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
