Job Overview:
Lehigh Lawns & Landscaping Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Pesticide and Fertilizer Technician to join our team. This role focuses on providing exceptional lawn care services, including fertilizing, seeding, pest control, and lawn disease management, to enhance the beauty and health of our customers' properties. Key Responsibilities:
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides to lawns, trees, and shrubs according to established protocols and formulas.
- Conduct soil analysis and testing to customize treatment plans.
- Provide services including aerating, seeding, weed control, winter lawn prep, and lime applications.
- Inspect lawns and landscapes to identify diseases, pest infestations, or other issues requiring treatment.
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment such as sprayers, pumps, and portable spray equipment.
- Mix and prepare chemicals for application, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Treat surfaces and greenery with protective substances to enhance growth and prevent infestations.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, chemicals used, and results achieved.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or pesticide application is highly desirable.
- Licensing:
- Valid NYS driver's license with an insurable driving record is required.
- Pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain shortly after employment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 8–10 hours daily.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Must have a smartphone with available data for work-related communications.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
