As a BDC/Internet Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in monitoring internet leads and providing top-notch client follow-up. The successful candidate will be a customer-service oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage incoming customer leads and technically savvy to have the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with customers using internet/email, mobile/Smart phones, tablets, etc. An essential part of this role is the ability to comfortably make phone calls and send emails to prospective clients on a regular schedule. No cold calling — you will work with warm leads from customers who are already interested in buying or trading in a vehicle. You will be the customer’s first point of contact — delivering a professional, friendly, and informative experience that reflects our Buy Smart – Be Happy sales philosophy. Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Monitor and respond promptly to inbound sales phone calls, internet leads, texts, and emails.
- Qualify prospects by asking relevant questions to accurately assess vehicle needs and preferences.
- Adhere to established call and email scripts to ensure consistent and effective communication.
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on all customer appointments, whether attended or missed.
- Collect and deliver requested information to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers with digital tools (credit applications, trade-in evaluations, etc.).
Collaborate with Sales Manager and General Manager to review performance objectives, analyze results, and plan daily activities
Proactively follow up with clients to generate new business opportunities and foster long-term relationships.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, recognizing it as the foundation of long-term business success.
- Engage in daily prospecting activities via phone, email, and mail; maintain a structured prospect development system.
- Conduct outbound sales follow-up and prospecting activities including phone calls, texts, and emails to engage customers, re-engage inactive leads, confirm appointments, and ensure no opportunity goes unworked.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current dealership inventory, promotions, and pricing.
- Participate in monthly goal setting and forecasting activities with management.
- Attend all scheduled sales meetings and training sessions to support ongoing development.
- Stay informed on automotive industry terminology, trends, and product updates.
- Consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned with the company's Vision, Mission, and Core Values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum one-year Automotive BDC experience strongly preferred.
- Highly proficient computer skills
- Fast and accurate response time when communicating with customer
- Excellent written communication skills
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
- Professionalism, integrity, and a team-player mindset
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (required)
- Bi Lingual is a plus(English/Spanish)
