Job Description
Position Title: Coordinator of Resident Life-Activities
Wage Classification: Hourly
Reports To: Executive Director and/or Administrator
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Minimum qualifications as per PA Dept of Human Services regulations. Must be or become certified by PA: A direct care worker, passing a criminal background check, having a minimum of High School Diploma or GED and have a valid drivers license.
In addition, must have at least 2 years experience in behavioral health field, or personal care home operations or related field.
Preference is also given to those possessing supervisory experience, business management experience, and nonprofit experience. Due to the mission of the ministry, the position of
Coordinator of Resident Life may only be filled by an individual giving testimony to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, with demonstrated maturity of faith, so that biblical principles are faithfully applied when managing the challenges posed by mission.
So that the overall needs of the Home can be met, the CRL shall also be trained as a Direct Care worker, CPR and be able to provide personal care services as needed. In addition, it is preferred that the CRL live in Lancaster County within a 20-minute commute of Mountville, and required that the candidate be available for weekends on a rotating basis.
Summary of Position:
The Coordinator of Resident Life (CRL) is hired by the Executive Director of Faith Friendship
Ministries (FFM) to oversee all resident care aspects of day-to-day operation of Faith Friendship
Villa of Mountville (FFV) within the scope of activities. The CRL establishing and maintaining activities that keep our residents, healthy, engaged and contributing members of society.
Activities also promote community and wellbeing. The CRL is to communicate ministry vision, mission, as they apply to the conduct of routine social balance, maintaining our spiritual emphasis and family atmosphere among residents, staff, and others within the home.
Responsibilities:
1. Overall Planning of Activities involving FFM residents.
Volunteering in/out of the Villa
Outings (movies, festivals, CBO, shopping trips, bowling, holiday events, parades, etc)
Scheduling and providing in home games/activities (uno, bingo, therapy animals, etc)
Holiday planning and preparation including annual family picnic
Church attendance for residents
Solicit and plan clergy visits as requested by Villa residents
2. Solicit and plan all volunteer engagement for FFM.
3. Provide tours for persons/groups/businesses/organizations interested in FFM.
4. Serve as point of contact for resident family members who wish to participate in Villa life
5. Coordinate and manage PCH regulatory compliance as it relate to scope of work
- Monitor compliance with requirements involving recreational activities, food service, environmental conditions, and financial management
6. Provide counsel & facilitate spiritual development activities for residents.
7. Interact with Food Service Coordinator as needed to address special FFV food events, or to address unresolved resident dietary issues.
8. Create and Perform a Confidential Resident Surveys twice per year, in cooperation with the ED and PCHA
9. Conduct random room inspections, as requested by the management team
10. Support CMD’s and LPN on move in day for new residents
11. Participated in presentations to the community, churches, organizations, foundations and other meaningful events to educate and promote the work of FFM and encourage support.
12. Assist with shift coverage and perform Personal Care/Direct Care and other general staff functions as needed.
13. Other duties as determined beneficial for the overall health and wellbeing of the residents.
