ABOUT THE ROLE AND WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Sewer & Drain Cleaning Technician, you will service residential and commercial sewer and drain lines, operate drain cleaning equipment, assist with grease trap and grease interceptor work, and provide professional service to customers in the field.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate a company service vehicle to and from customer locations
- Service residential and commercial sewer and drain lines
- Operate cable machines, sewer jetters, sewer cameras, and related equipment
- Diagnose sewer and drain blockages and explain findings clearly to customers
- Pump, clean, and inspect grease traps and grease interceptors
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and service vehicles
- Complete service documentation, logs, and time sheets accurately
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT/OSHA requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Provide excellent customer service on every job
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The right person for the Sewer & Drain Cleaning Technician role is reliable, hardworking, positive, and willing to learn. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, solving different problems each day, and representing the company well in front of customers.
Qualifications include:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in different weather conditions
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to the team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn sewer and drain cleaning equipment, safety practices, and service procedures
Experience in any of the following areas is helpful, but not required for the right candidate:
- Drain cleaning
- Plumbing
- Septic service
- Grease trap service
- Sewer jetting
- Cable machines
- Sewer cameras
- Related field service or labor work
- CDL or willingness to obtain one
