JOB OVERVIEW:
The Teaching & Learning Instructional Coach supports the development and implementation of teaching and learning initiatives throughout the district (preschool - grade 8).
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop the capacity of teams to effectively implement our guaranteed and viable curriculum
-
Provide targeted support to teams in the learning and implementation of our foundational resources
-
Support teams in robust assessment for learning cycles and data-driven PLC practices
-
Partner with teams in the analysis of student learning data to inform instruction and curricular planning
-
Analyze the practices of teachers and teams, provide timely and specific feedback, develop detailed coaching plans, and measure progress toward identified goals

Engage teachers and teams in reflective dialogue toward improved student learning
-
Provide teams with professional development and guidance to support teaching and learning goals
-
Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in instruction, assessment, and curricular planning

Use high quality coaching strategies

Co-teach and/or model instructional strategies to support teacher development
-
Actively participate in district training and development sessions
-
Collaborate with building administration in non-evaluatory conversations to inform effective coaching services and support
-
Coordinate efforts with the Department of Teaching and Learning as well as the Department of Student Services to provide services and support related to teaching and learning goals

Lead high performing teams and committees

Complete other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Illinois Professional Educator License K-8 or equivalent
-
Master's Degree or beyond
-
At least five years of successful classroom experience
-
Participation in leadership and/or curriculum teams preferred
Terms: Teacher Calendar 180 days (up to additional 10 days to include beginning and or end of the teacher calendar)
Evaluation: As per current collective bargaining agreement
Salary: As per current teacher salary schedule
