ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read blueprints and drawings (preferred) to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (ProPress, pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, snakes, cameras, plungers, etc.)
- Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring, etc.)
- Install and maintain water supply systems
- Locate and repair issues with water supply and waste lines (e.g. leaks)
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
- Repair or replace drain, waste and vent
- Install and maintain gas systems
- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems
- Replace DWV systems
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a plumber (3-5 Years experience required.)
- Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
- Able to follow instructions
- Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
- Friendly with a great deal of patience
- Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship (preferred)
- Valid plumber license to practice the profession (preferred)
- Must have extensive knowledge of plumbing code
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
· Physically fit with the ability to work in awkward spaces
· Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
· Ability to crouch, bend, and sit
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Must own tools of the trade
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
· Must have reliable transportation
· Willingness to travel
· Must have a smartphone (required)
